Our Philosophy
The reason for practice is simple: you want to get better at doing something.
In order for learning to take place, practice must be broken down into two types: block and performance. Utilizing these two distinct types of practice allows the student to learn the movement faster as well as apply what they have learned to the golf course with more consistency. Our instructors create a structured plan and help students learn the difference between the two types of practice so that practice time is as productive as possible. |
The advantage of preparation is most evident in the history of golf through its most accomplished players:
Ben Hogan. Jack Nicklaus. Tiger Woods. Ben Hogan prepared his swing more than any previous golfer through countless hours of practice. Then Jack Nicklaus came along and prepared his strategy better than anyone in the history of the game: he is credited with inventing the yardage book. And Tiger Woods showed the world what happens preparing the mind and body to perform at the highest level. All three of these players used preparation to separate themselves from their competition and become the best champions of their eras. So how can you use preparation to gain an advantage? We will show you. |
Performance is the action or process of carrying out a task or function.
What separates the good from the great? Is it swing, mental, preparation, emotional? The emotional and the mental aspects of golf are often over-looked, and we believe they can and will affect a player's swing. Unless you can put yourself in the correct frame of mind and be in the correct emotional state, you will not be able to repeat your swing with consistency. Being able to play the same way as you practice is the key to great performance. |
